Wanda Willis-Singleton (2008)
Wanda Willis-Singleton graduated from Calhoun County High School in Edison, Georgia in 1986 and played basketball, softball and participated in track and field. She earned an athletic scholarship to Miles College and competed for four years. (1986-1990) She played point guard and two-guard in basketball, several positions in volleyball, and put-the-shot, and ran the mile relay in track and field. Her awards and achievements were: Freshman of the Year in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) in basketball in 1987, Most Valuable Player (MVP) in Basketball 1987, 1st recipient of the T.J “Mule” Knox Award for Academic and Athletic Excellence 1988 - 1989, Senior Leadership Award in women’s basketball 1990, Academic Achievement Award 1990. She graduated from Miles College with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration as an honor graduate in 1990. Her community involvement includes: Coach for son’s T-Ball team, Team Mom for son’s football team and baseball team. She is currently employed as a Quality Control Analysis II. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
