BYRON C. SCOTT (2010)
In 1977, Byron C. Scott entered Miles College on a football scholarship. He spent four years as a Golden Bear under coaches Earl Cheatum and Theo Dansby, and earned a varsity letter in football. Mr. Scott's college career included student recognition in the Who's Who for Colleges and Universities. Mr Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1982. That year, he received an award from the Wall Street Journal as Business Student of the Year. Byron Scott has done volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity and served on the Board Of Trustees of the Greater Little Rock Baptist Church. He has also devoted time as a volunteer coach for football, basketball and baseball teams. Mr. Scott is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. In August 2010, Byron Scott retired after working as an Air Traffic Controller with the Federal Aviation Administration for Thirty years.
