Kendra D. Ward (2016)
Kendra D. Ward enrolled at Miles College from Pleasant Grove High School, Pleasant Grove AL. where she lettered in the following sports: Volleyball, Basketball and Softball. Kendra received a scholarship to play Volleyball: 2008-2010 and Softball: 2008-2011. Kendra’s coaches were: Phillip Wallace Jr., Freddie Knight, Deborah Jones-Rodgers, and Patrick Peasant.
Kendra was a Scholar Student (Cu Laude) and versatile athlete. She played Outside Hitter on the Volley Ball team. She played Short-Stop, Pitcher, Center-field, and First Base on the Softball Team. Her athletic achievements were: Volley Ball: MVP 2009, Coaches’ Award 2010, Softball: SIAC Championship 2009, Offensive Player of the years 2009-2010, MVP 2011, SIAC Championship (Volunteer Coach 2012) Letterman’s Award 2008.
After leaving Miles, Kendra has stayed involved in her community by participating in community service projects with the Delta Gems; Kids and Cops Day; National Night-Out Special Olympics, and Christmas toy give-away. Kendra is an assistant coach with Pleasant Grove Youth Baseball. Currently, Kendra is a Police Officer, and completed her Juries Doctrine Degree.
