LARRY BROWN (2011)
Larry Brown accepted an athletic scholarship to play baseball at Miles College after graduating from A. H. Parker High School. Under the guidance of Coaches Pete Wilkins and Ronald Cook, Mr. Brown participated for four years as an outfielder on first, second and third bases. Larry Brown received several athletic awards for his contributions on the baseball field, including selection as Most Valuable Player and SIAC Batting Champion in 1974, Selection as “Mr. Clutch” in 1975 and SGA Player of the Year in 1976. He was selected for the SIAC Conference Team and was part of the 1976 Western Division Championship Team. Larry Brown kept his talents at Miles College by serving as its Baseball Coach in 1980 and 1981.
