Morrell Todd (2008)
Morrell Todd attended Western Olin High School where he played baseball, football, and participated in track and field. He began his post-secondary education at Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas on a baseball scholarship. He transferred to Miles College where he received a scholarship and continued to play baseball. Position: right field 1973 - 1975. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science in 1975 from Miles College. He received his Masters Degree from Alabama State University. He attended the Birmingham Baptist Bible College where he received a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Theology. He also received a Master of Ministry from the Birmingham Theological Seminary, in June, 2001. He completed his Trinity Theological Seminary and was conferred a Doctorate of Ministry Degree. Community involvement: Immediately following graduation, he began to expand his service to the community through his church and other organizations. He has counseled hundreds of disadvantaged youth. Rev. Todd is currently the Director of the Community Training Institute, a Community Ministerial Brotherhood Ministries, Inc., which is an alternative program for students who are expelled from school. Rev. Todd also works with “Place Matter,” a health initiative on obesity. Rev. Todd is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc .
