Reginald W. Nall (2012)

Reginald W. Nall is a proud, devoted alumnus of Miles College. Though he did not grace its athletic fields as a student, he distinguished himself academically, graduating with cum laude distinction with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. After college, he found employment at the Birmingham Water Works, which has been ranked as one of the top five water systems in the United States for water quality. Mr. Nall serves as a Distribution Manager there, and he has over 26 years of service. He is also a member of the American Water Works Association and the Water Environmental Federation. Reginald Nall contributes his time and talents to community involvement in several ways. For 12 years, he served as Coach/President of the Ensley Broncos Youth Football Team. He has also served as a Board Member for the Western branch of the YMCA. A member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Reginald Nall is a former Board Member of its Birmingham Alumni Chapter. In 2004, he was honored by Kappa Alpha Psi as Kappa Man of the Year, and in 2007, he was chosen for the Everharding Pruitt Award, the highest honor ever bestowed upon a member of the Birmingham Alumni Chapter. Reginald Nall is a Deacon at Galilee Baptist Church and served as Sunday School Superintendent for 20 years. With all his activities, Reginald Nall still finds times to give back to Miles College. He has been a member of the Miles College Alumni Task Force since graduation and works to ensure that all arrangements for games and sporting events are efficiently handled. Riders and team supporters on the alumni busses can be assured that all the amenities will be present, including ice and refreshments. Reginald Nall also attends many of the games and can be found cheering for the team. Married for 32 years to the former Dominique Lewis, Reginald Nall’s devoted family includes his wife, two children, son Dakarai and daughter, Deeyatta, his daughter-in-law, Belinda, and his grandson, Carter. Reginald Nall demonstrates his love and regard for Miles College through his participation in its alumni activities, and his love for our school is always present.
