Ryan Smith (2016)
Ryan Smith enrolled at Miles College from Curry High School in Jasper AL. where he lettered in Baseball. He received a scholarship to play Baseball as Catcher on the Golden Bears Team in 2003-2006 with Coach Kenneth Hatcher.
Ryan received the following achievements while participating in baseball: Member of 2003 team that set a new school record for most games won (29) in a single season, 2004 Gold Glove Award, Member of 4-time SIAC Western Conference Championship Team, 2005 SIAC Conference (Runner-Up), ranked 4th in the country for most walks per 9 innings in the country (2005).
Ryan continues to serve his community: youth pastor for 3 years, assistant Baseball Coach for 2 years, church leadership for 5 years, serves on a monthly community service outreach team (feeding and clothing needy people).
Ryan is currently employed as a Software Development Lead.
