Reverend Vincent T. Avery (2007)

Reverend Vincent T. Avery, Sr. is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. A member of the football team at Frederick Douglass High School, he was blessed with a four ( 4) year athletic scholarship to Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Services. Reverend Avery has professional law enforcement experience within the State Juvenile System of Alabama and Georgia. He has been with the Fulton County Sheriffs office for almost twenty years, where he currently serves as Lieutenant. He assists his Pastor, Dr. R. L. White, Jr. at the Mount Ephraim Baptist Church with the counseling of members and those of the outreach community along with facilitating the Couples/Marriage class within the Educational Ministry at Mount Ephraim. The high point in his Christian journey was receiving the call to preach the Gospel. He is committed to the Lord. Reverend Avery is married to Mrs. Angela Avery and they are the proud parents of one son, Vincent, Jr.
